HISTORY
Zone has been operating for over 12 years in commercial fit-out construction. Our major strength is our ability to convert conceptual ideas into real projects through total management and control of concept design, developed design, detailed design, construction, commissioning and defects-free handover.
Over the years we have successfully executed a variety of fit-outs across several Pacific countries. To name a few: Air New Zealand check-in counters at Auckland International Airport, Bartercard New Zealand head office in Auckland, Parliament buildings in Kiribas, along with many large projects within PNG including office, retail and banking fit-outs for Deloitte, Santos, ANZ Banking Group, Westpac, Puma Energy, KPMG, Ashurst & Allens Linklaters.

Our greatest asset are our people. From management through to tradespeople, we cover a wide skill base to deliver a total service, including project costing and estimating, professional quantity surveying, building technology, project and construction management.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & FINACIAL CONTROL
At Zone we do not compromise the quality of our services. We use international industry standard applications for construction project control and transparency, Prolog Manager (by Meridian System), Microsoft Project 2013 and Primavera P6 (by Oracle).
Prolog Manager, MS Project and P6 are project and program management applications that automate daily construction processes, from project design to closeout, with features including document management, cost control, purchasing management and field administration. They are based on a collaborative platform, which means that as a construction company, we are immediately alerted to pending RFls, answered questions, potential issues, and changes.
These applications give us full control and visibility across all projects undertaken by our organisation
RISK MANAGEMENT
Risk management is a key component in our process which results in us achieving successful completion of all projects we undertake.
The process includes the production of a Master Risk Register. This clearly defines the project phases and identifies the risks within each phase (to which ownership will be assigned), the likelihood of occurrence and consequence,
and the severity of risks is analyzed v so we can allocate appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
Our project manager is responsible for tracking the risks against the Master Risk Register. The risk register records and logs details of items and events considered by the project team as putting the stated objectives of the project at risk.
The register is developed during the initial stages of the project and integrated with other aspects of the project management plan.
DEFECT MANAGEMENT
One of the biggest challenges in our industry is defect management.
It represents a major client frustration.
At Zone, quality performance is monitored in terms of both the effect of defects at completion, and the time taken to clear them.
We understand the ideal approach to quality results is to eliminate defects at the source so that a defect-free handover is a realistic proposition.
